Bar exam prep materials question

Help. I cry out to all kind lawyers out there.

I want self-study BOOKS–no need for CDs and their massive prices–for the MBE, and the Georgia portion.

I got through the CPA exam a few years back with books only and I’m better at law than I am at accounting, so I’m thinking I only need books.

I’m willing to pay up to $500 for a good set of practice questions, but folks like Micromash want $600 for MBE and another $600 for GA, and they only want to offer pricey CDs. (I blew $80 on the MPRE softeware, and found it a waste–passed it in Nov.)

Is it really gonna cost me a grand just to get decent study aids?

My forays into the commercial sites have left me bewildered, so I’d love some realistic feedback from folks who’ve been thru it.

Do you know anyone who recently passed the Bar exam in your state who would be willing to sell his or her used BarBri materials to you?

I used Micromash and it was really very good because it would automatically dump you into a tutorial if you missed more than a certain number of questions in a given topic. It also gave you stats so you didn’t waste your time studying areas you were kicking butt in. The point, I guess, is to reconsider Micromash, at least for the MBE.

Maybe people sell their used Bar Bri books on Ebay? In any event, good luck.
