Yes, but it didn’t last very long. I can’t remember the release date, but it was snowed under by other movies and was largely ignored.
If you can call $65M “ignored”. Not quite as much as the first one made, but it easily made back its costs and ranks #17 for the year (higher than Hellboy and Dawn of the Dead, to name a few).
I mean ignored in the sense that while it had a decent media blitz, a week after opening it was hard to find theaters that were showing it.
In Minnesota, you’re probably right. I live in Oakland, so it had a bit more legs here.
Yeah, I live in Philly, where I’d expect it to have played for a while – but it went by without blipping my radar.
