Even if MLB has the right to do this, anything they do at this pointis going to be seen in a negative light. They need positive press badly, and something exciting in the playoffs rather than the Braves choking in the WS to the Yankees for the third or fourth time.

Yeah, what SZ said. I don’t deny that they may have had a legal right to do what they did, but it was still a dumb dumb move, especially right now.

Fox has been doing this for years with X-Files and Simpsons fan sites.
Meanwhile, I heard the NFL actually encourages fan sites. If true, more proof the NFL is the best-run sports league.
