Basic Dreamweaver Question

Yes, I’m one of those who didn’t much RTFM for Dreamweaver 8. I’ve searched the help files, but I still can’t figure out just how to do something that should be very, very simple: uploading files (in this case, image files).

I’ve managed by hook and by crook to get images uploaded before, but I can’t figure out how I did it so that I can do it again.

I’ve tried other FTP clients, such as within Firefox, but for some reason they never connect. They just hang there without completion and without an error. I’m trying to upload to my Comcast web site, and they do things a bit different.

Anyway, can anyone tell me how to bulk upload a bunch of images using Dreamweaver, since that’s the only tool that seems to know how to deal with Comcast?

Images on a page, you mean?

Or just moving images into an online folder?

For the former, open a page and then individually click and drag each picture file from the FILES tab on the right (if you don’t see it, click F8 or click on the little arrow on the far right side that will open it up). Then click the up/down arrows you should see at the top next to the globe icon in order to upload.

If the latter, open the FILES tab (as above) and then click the last icon on the right there for ‘Expand to show local and remote sites’ (that’s what it should say if you hover over it with your mouse). That will show you a split screen with your online directory on the left and your local directory on the right. You can click and drag.

Thanks for the assistance!

No prob. I’m of the opinion that the more a program requires reading a manual, the more poorly designed it is.
