Quick question: If you were a Laker fan, what team would you particularly not like?
I’d say the Celtics, but then I’m a Boston fan who was mainly into basketball during the 80’s. They haven’t been much of a threat recently.
Any others? Specifically in the southeast?
Are you referencing the Memphis Grizzlies, due to the addition of Jerry West?
I bet the Lakers fans find it hard to care about a team that has, up to this point, been the most pathetic organization in the NBA. Maybe if they can win 50% of their games, make the playoffs, and knock off the Lakers all due to the masterful moves of Jerry West, then they will care.
This is for a story. A teenage guy from Los Angeles, die-hard Laker fan, is spending the summer in a rented house. The scene is him on the phone with his GF, discussing the fact that they won’t be able to see each other over the 4th of July weekend.

Actually the teams to hate if your a laker fan … is any other b-ball team in the ca/pacific notrhwest thats in their division
But the most hated are the cetics utah jazz the portland trailblazers golden state warriors and the clippers
Also the chicago bulls arent well liked but thats faded since the bulls have also
The problem with la is 60 percent of the population is non native or first or second generation So most of them will like other teams from their original homes and the like ( which is one reason why people dont want football in la becuase of the blackout rules on tv …It means less games to watch )
In fact it used to be a wag that in any pro sport homegame in la that at least 40 percent of the crowd was there for the other team
Also, just remember that if you use the Hornets that they are officially a New Orleans franchise now. Not sure if they nickname will be changing. Considering the Lakers still use the original Minneapolis name from the Mikan era I kind of doubt it.
I would imagine its Sacramento, they are going to take em next year.
