Does anyone know where I might be able to find a similar transcription (preferably tab, not up to music yet :p) of the long winded bass arpeggio? that Wolfman plays upon being asked if he could handle their sound? Not looking for an exact transcription, I’m sure no one has written THAT one down, but perhaps an example of the technique that was used. Thanks!
I don’t think this is what you’re looking for, but here’s the bassline to the song That Thing You Do:

Nope, that wouldn’t be it. There’s a point in the movie where the group is offered a new bass player, and he plays a little riff to demonstrate how good he is. “I think I can handle it, Junior.”
They show a pretty good shot of his hands while he’s playing it – I’d think your best bet would be to get out the remote and start watching it repeatedly.
Great movie! We named a litter of kittens Guy, Lenny, and Wolfman. Sadly, only Wolfie remains.
