Shower.
Love baths but I am too crippled to get in and out of that position!
Bath. About 80% of my bathing is baths. There was a time last year when it was 100%, but now I’m sneaking in more showers.
I’m very happy the our new house has a walk in shower in the ensuite. It came in very handy when I was recovering from an operation. I was probably a child the last time I had a bath.
Shower always. And not in a tub, I can no longer get in and out of one comfortably – fortunately I have a walk-in shower stall. I have dry skin and I can’t spend very long in or under hot water. On the other hand, I can’t stand any water less than hot to get clean with. So my showers are brief but thorough.
I do shower most days but I find myself really resistant to it. I haven’t been able to figure out why, and it’s a relatively recent development. But nowadays if I’m going to be home all day, I put off showering as long as I can stand it. I have to drag myself through it. It’s maybe a sensory thing. My bathroom is freezing cold most of the time.
Skimping on personal hygiene is a typical sign of depression. You’re not exactly depressed, but you’re sure high in stress right now.
I shower pretty much daily but I really prefer a nice long soak in a tub. My preferred method is to start with water as hot as I can stand, and to soak luxuriously until the temperature is approaching tepid. However my current options for that are limited to tubs that are too short for me to fully submerge myself in which detracts from the experience. When I do have a bath, I always follow it with a quick shower to rinse off the bath salts residue.
I’m pretty sure I haven’t taken a bath since I was a boy, although there may have been a time when my back was hurting and I tried to soak the pain out. The military cured me of baths forever, and we renovated the bathrooms in both of our houses to include walk-in showers. My routine is, and has been for decades, a morning shower.
You may have a point.
Showers.
My house actually came with a jetted Jacuzzi tub installed by some previous owner, so I tried it out a few times after I moved in. After a few uses I was like “Yeah, this is overrated.” It probably didn’t help that it’s one of those standard sized “tiny pseudo-tubs” as @Czarcasm called them. But also, like others mentioned, the water just doesn’t stay hot long enough to be enjoyable for me.
Shower. Always.
The few times I tried baths when I was younger (i.e., in my 20s/30s) they never did anything for me; bubble, Jacuzzi, or otherwise. Or at least, not enough to be worth the effort. I don’t remember the last time I took one.

Shower.
Baths seem gross to me. I do not want to sit on the floor of the tub. The last time I took a bath was probably when I was elementary school aged.
I haven’t used a bathtub since I moved out of my parents house in 1979. Right after that they had a shower installed. I was like WTF! I despised waiting for the damn thing to fill and then not feeling clean afterward.
But hot tubs and jacuzzi ‘s are on my approved list of approved water sports. ![]()
I sometimes crank up the heat before showering. I don’t shower at a set time, and i don’t shower every day, so i can’t just schedule that. It helps that my bedroom and ensuite bath are their own heating zone. But… It’s really unpleasant to step into a shower when the air is cold. Of course you are reluctant to do it.
Like others, i prefer showers for hygiene. But i love a nice long soak in a tub. The hot baths were a high point of my last visit to Japan. Of course i showered before entering the pool, like a civilized human being.
I don’t bathe as often as i probably ought to. It’s very relaxing.
Showers.
The spray is invigorating.
Like many, a shower for cleanliness, a bath for relaxing, reading, and hiding from family. My MIL gets me Kneipp bath oils every Christmas, so I get to smell like a fir tree.
echoing @puzzlegal a bit: I have found that adding a small space heater in the bathroom and letting it go for a bit while the door is closed before I take my shower helps with that issue.
Just be cognizant that the water and steam will warm you up, so don’t let it get too warm. I personally turn the small heater off before I get in.
I only care about the results, not the process. Showering is easier and faster.
Shower. I don’t like baths. Sitting in a hot tub can be fun, but a regular bathtub? No thanks. For one thing, it’s too hard to get up and down, and for another, it doesn’t stay hot long enough.
I currently have a tub-type shower in my bathroom, but I want to get it removed and replaced with a walk-in.
In a standard tub if my knees are under water than my whole upper body is out; if I want any part of my upper body submerged then I need to bend my knees up & they are out of the water.
I do have an oversized tub in the master bedroom but it may have a leak (I think she overfilled it & the overflow leaked) but I don’t take enough baths that it’s worth investigating.
