I don’t know where the other children were, but this happened at, I think, about 9:00 at night, so school has nothing to do with it

FTW, the ages of the other children have been reported here as being 2 and 5.
Ttere is no way to verbalize how angry and sad this makes me.
My daughter was born with a very rare genetic defect that caused her to be mentaly retarded, confined to a wheel chair, and nearly non verbal. She was tube fed and for the first four years of her life she breathed through a Trachiotomy (Spelling).
I didn’t leave her alone even while I took a shower.
Children with special problems can be hard to care for. But that in no way excuses such neglect. I hope this so called mother someday fell the pain, fear and helplessness this poor child felt laying in that alley.
And maybe someday I will learn to preview
This is similar to a story on the front pages here in Sweden right now. A “mother” gave birth in her apartment without any of her friends or family or co workers even knowing she was pregnant, then promptly murdered the baby and put the newborn in her freezer…cut to 2 years later and she does the same thing AGAIN.
Her 13 year old son finally took the one baby out of the freezer and dumped it nearby…thus bringing the attention of the police and the discovery of the second frozen baby. She admits she did it because she just couldn’t deal with being a mother.
She was sentenced to 6 years in prison. Apparently the lives of these 2 babies aren’t considered very important in this country. I am appalled at the sentence. I’m glad the mother in the OP doesn’t live here. :mad:
