We can safely surmise that Cage’s piano is “prepared” in his signature style. The question remains, then, as to whether Batman is prepared for this showdown.
I don’t think it stretches the bounds of credibility to anticipate that Batman arrives equipped with a “Singular Frequency Bat-Harmonic Calibration Instrument” – i.e., a tuning fork.
Given Bruce Wayne’s intelligence, privileged upbringing, familiarity with all things highbrow, and superior education, it would be a safe assumption that he could proceed from there, with a decent (if not necessarily perfect) sense of pitch.
The show would close with Batman picking out the first couple of bars of Nelson Riddle’s “Batman” theme on the newly-tuned piano.
I’d rather see Batman vs. John Tesh’s piano.
