I never had any stability problems with this game. The tech support for it now seems non-existent. Any ideas?
PC, I assume? Steam or DVD version? Crashes to desktop or freezes up? At startup or during gameplay? Randomly or on certain maps/certain times during gameplay/certain servers? Type of graphics card/driver version?
I probably won’t be able to help anyway, but some more info would be useful to those who might.
PC. Windows 7 64 bit. Crashes to desktop during multiplayer - specifically when camera switches to first person when I enter the game - then it immediately crashes. All the menus and stuff prior works fine. Tested it on multiple servers. graphics card has worked flawlessly with it since release. ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650. Driver version 8.683.2.0
Just noticed vimeo videos are sometimes blanking out into a green screen too.
Check this out. I took a quick look, but your driver appears out of date by a couple of months.

I can’t update the driver. When I download and run ATI/AMD’s Catalyst Mobility tool - which is step one in their driver dl process. I get an error:
I turned off anti-virus and firewall, and still got the same error.
Do you have steam installed? There is an auto update drivers option in the Steam menu. Maybe that’ll work for you?
No. I don’t use Steam. I tried it back in the day, and there were too many hassles.
