Battlestar Galactica 3.06 Torn 11/3 (spoilers)

I’ve got…$4.13 to add to the kitty if we can get her kit off again before the end of the season.

They had a notice up last week about a scheduled maintenance; a move to a new server I think. They said they planned to be back up by the weekend but apparently something is still fracked.
Their blog was up for a while over the weekend but I was getting mySQL errors on the main pages. Now it just looks down. :frowning:

Maybe it’s a primitive computer virus that turns on their Automatic Update?

Kit, kit, kit what is kit?

British-ism for “removing her clothing for our edification.”

Here *.

*Warning. Clothing-free link.

Okay, what the hell, I’m in for a dollar two ninety eight.

Dude.
That is just mean.

Okay, this time I’m not kidding. Naked Cylon pussy.

Somewhere, there is a Centurion with a chrome-on.

Fool me once, shame on me.
Fool me twice, you’re some kind of goofy Trekoid.
It’s a cat sitting on a toaster, right?

Some folks have a lot of time on their hands.

I can understand Colonials wanting to find Earth, but I have to question their judgement. What moral or ethical right do they have to lead the Cylons there? Cylons have tracked them the whole time. They only managed to hide from them for a year. Athena told Adama she won’t reveal any Cylons who may still be hiding within the fleet. So if they find Earth, he would have to assume there are infiltrators who would reveal its location to the Cylons.

Are the Colonials counting on Earth being able to defend itself against the Cylons? Probably not the best way to make friends. “Hello fellow long-lost humans! We’ve brought a horrible, genocidal enemy with us who is going to try and wipe you out!” Of course if they couched it such that they were simply trying to warn them, I guess that could work.

I can understand why Cylons might want to find Earth if what they want is to wipe out the last human enclave which might one day come seeking revenge. But why do they want Earth to be their new home? Didn’t they recently come into possession of 12 slightly used, mildly irradiated planets?

What’s wrong with the Cylon homeworld & the 12 colonies? Not good enough? Five models of Cylons have different plans for them? What makes Earth so attractive?

I’m a little afraid of this Earth. Assuming it’s our Earth, humans must have had good reason to leave it for Kobol thousands of years ago. Also, why did 12 tribes head for the Colonies while one tribe went back to Earth? I’d be afraid there are some seriously ancient, dark technologies on Earth both humans and Cylons wouldn’t want to mess with. They’ve already encountered one single little probe which could seriously kick their asses. Are they sure they really want to find Earth?

When did they ever say that the colonies originated on Earth? I thought Earth was the 13th colony of Kobol.

My peeve with the issue - the relatively-instant acceptance of Sharon, including giving her such a pretty, nice callsign. If these people who have had all their loved ones killed by Cylons, including the recent deaths on New Caprica, gave Sharon a name, it would be something like, “You Frakking Bitch Who Should Die a Horrible Death.” In my opinion.

Okay, done now.

What do you think Athena means in Geminid?

“The issue?” Can we make that “this episode,” please? Sheesh.

Ah, that makes more sense.

It might be fun to see what happens if they start to pic up radio transmissions from Earth. I think somebody has already riffed on the idea of Aliens picking up a Hitler speech and getting the wrong idea about Earth. Pick something else, like say Orson Welles’ production of The War of the Worlds and let confusion ensue…

They’ve never said that, but the audience gets some credit for outside knowledge doesn’t it?

Even if Earth is merely the 13th Colony, what business do the Colonials have leading the Cylons there? Earth has never fought a Cylon war and there’s no reason to believe they have a modern fleet of virus-proof Battlestars sitting in orbit.
