Battlestar Galactica credit card -- is this a first?

I saw a TV ad for this saying pitching BG merchandise you could get as part of the card’s “Reward” programs. The online info I found talks about general “Universal Studios” merchandise as part of the “Reward”.

I have never heard of a credit card linked to a TV show like this.

I want an Angelina Jolie credit card. Every quarter, I want a personally signed portrait photo. The more I spend, the less she is wearing in the next pic.

I’m sure I’ve seen a Star Trek credit card. It is very easy for a company or organization to set up an affinity card program like this.

I remember reading something about this. I think this is a first in that you actually recieve a free Battlestar Galactica first season DVD set for signing up for the card.
