Bears raid a Krispy Kreme donut shop

I’m sure the mess was grizzly. Glad I didn’t have to clean it up. This type of bear-glary can’t continue.

We’ve had bears break into our cars about 4 times now. They haven’t done any damage. Yet. Well just some scratches where they swipe at the door handle.

You have to be cautious though. “Are they still in there???” What I will do is stay about twenty feet away and fire a .357 into the ground and see if that gets any activity in the car. It would rock on it’s springs a little bit if the bear moved.

Then, approach cautiously, always keeping in mind what your escape route will be.

Think of the unbearable withdrawal of all the would-be patrons disappointed they couldn’t get their sugar fix that morning. They’ll be bruin the day that happened. Shame the coffee won’t be bruin either.

I asw the thread title and thought, “Which players?”

I need more sleep.

Do bears generally know how to open car doors (say, from watching other bears or watching people do it)? I guess it’s not super-different from cats learning to turn doorknobs.

Just wait till they learn how to drive, though. :flushed:

That would be, “Da Bears.”

I was going to ask that. I wouldn’t think they would have much experience watching someone open a car door. Perhaps it is just something to take a swat at since it is the only thing on the smooth door.

Yeah, I was going to say the way they played those first two games of the season, the last thing they should be doing is breaking their training diet like that.

Most cars have the “pull the handle and the door opens” If they swipe at it enough, a claw will catch something on the car. Do it once, and now they know how to get into cars.

We have been told not to lock the car, because they will just rip the handle off.

The article linked in the OP also said that, after scarfing down to their heart’s content, the bears took a little nap in the van. So it’s sort of a reverse Goldilocks situation.

Donuts beat porridge any day.

That just makes them smarter than the average bear.
