So how about it, who do you think is going to take the win this year?
Packers!
How can the Bears get lucky 3 times in a row?
I think the Packers will overcome the Bears. The Packers have an excellent aerial assault and the Bears have a poor passing defense.
DarkRabbit
for packer smack talk, please report here
The Packers may very well win this game (pff), but i’m real tired of hearing:
- The Bears are just lucky
and
- They haven’t played anybody.
I suppose Minnesota and Carolina are forces to be reckoned with, eh pack?
jar
Da Bears! I’m with you jarbabyj. The Bears are not just lucky. You don’t score come back from a 14 point deficit with 30 seconds left to play on just dumb luck. Two years ago people said the Rams were just lucky. Last year it was the Ravens. This year it’s the Bears. They will be in the Superbowl.
I’m a Bears fan – no way am I rabid enough to think they’re gonna make it to the Big Show, but even with my pro-Bears bias, I gotta say they’re one of the better teams in the league this year.
For those who say they’re just lucky, did you SEE any of the games prior to the Browns and Niners games? Those games weren’t won on luck. They were won on a solid passing attack and a dominating offensive line. As for a weak passing defense, the only time I’d call the passing defense ‘weak’ would be in the Niners game. The rest of the time, they’ve hung in there; there are better passing defenses, but ours has been good enough to hold opponents to less than 14 points per game average (best in the NFC).
That being said, would anybody like to take Walt ‘Toast’ Harris off our hands?
Packers will win.
Both teams want this game so it will be a good game but the Pack has better skill position players.
Carolina??? Carolina didn’t beat us…
Tampa was lucky and Minnesota was a disaster from the coaching decisions down to the play on the field. Stupid dome!!
However, the Vike’s are just an expansion team.
This is a real game/rivalry/blood feud.
Ahh Bear Week nothing like it. Good to see this game return to its rightful place as a showdown for the division.
My guess is that the Green Bile Pukers will win. They’re OK when they play on cow food.
I’m a Packer fan. If you cut me, do I not bleed Green and Gold?
Wow, what a difficult game to call:
Ravens beat Bears, Green Bay trounces Ravens.
But Bears beat Vikes, Vikes trounce Pack
I agree with Sledman that our position players should carry the day for us. And from a purely superstitious standpoint, I just don’t believe the Bears are good enough to win 7 in a row. They’re due to drop one. Of course, if Farve comes out and has one of his %#@&-up days, all bets are off (figuratively speaking of course.)
It will be a great game. I’ll be glued to the TV, with my cheesehead on.
Go Pack Go!
Green Bile Pukers… <snort of laughter> I’m gonna have to remember that.
I think Da Bears will be riding damn high when they play the Pack this Sunday. Even though this is a big rivalry, and both teams would be pumped up already, I think da bears might have a little bit more to get fired up about.
They know they can win games and are riding high on the swell of a six game winning streak.
The Brown’s didn’t TRY to lose the game, the 49er’s didn’t TRY to lose their game either. Da Bears made it happen when it mattered most, and won as a result.
My Vote: BEARS!
Bears = suck (still)
Packers != suck
therefore, Packers will beat the LUCKY Bears.
Um, Packers have better skill position players? Quarterback, sure, running back, maybe, but they are dead even at wide receiver, and the Packer’s group is probably much worse than the Bears if Schroeder isn’t available again. (Nice to see that Schroeder has finally brought his play up to the level of an above-average #2 receiver. Too bad he’s the Pack’s best receiver…)
(Also keep in mind that when you evaluate the Packer’s wide receivers, you have to remember that Brett Farve is throwing to them. the 3-6 guys probably wouldn’t have a catch between them if, say, Jeff George was throwing to them.)
People say that the Bears haven’t played anybody because, well, they haven’t. That’s not the Bears’ fault, it’s just that the Last-place team plays a Last-place schedule, and an above-average team playing a last-place schedule will get 3-4 more wins a year than they would if they were playing a 1st or 2nd place schedule.
That said, I still think that the Pack will win. The Bears are due for a loss, and they have a recent history of choking against the Pack at Soldier Field.
