Had a lovely dinner at cousin#3’s last night and got to meet baby twins and see additional family as well.
Tonight, most of the out-of-towners had arrived, so we met at #1 Cousin’s, everyone sang Mom a surprise round of Happy Birthday and 18 of us went out for tacos. Yum.
Am falling asleep, but wanted to at least stop by and say hi.

I’m up, caffeinated, and off to work. Draft Party tonight, so naturally I will have a draft or 2. 
Higgs let me sleep till 6, so yay! I was having a weird dream that involved John Pinette, which made me sad, because he died too young. 
I’ve breakfasted and I’m finishing caffeination while **FCD **snoozes on. We can’t take Higgs to the kennel till 8:30, so we’ve got time to kill.
Taz has a substance abuse issue - he kept breaking into the pantry and this morning, I figured out why. **FCD **had put the bag of catnip (which Taz had torn open) into a zip lock bag and set it on the shelf above the bin where we keep pet stuff in the pantry. I saw that the idiot can had pulled some of the bag down behind the shelf (coated wire shelves, so not flush against the wall) and had started tearing into it again. I got it out of there and put it into another bag after putting some nip on the scratching thingie. Naturally, Higgs went to eat the nip I’d put out. All of our critters are idiots!
It’s looking like a decent day to go to Johnstown. It’s a 4 hour drive, part of which is around the DC beltway. :eek: Leaving after 8:30 will actually be good - rush hour should be over by the time we get there. And we won’t leave J-town till after 4 at the earliest, so we should miss the afternoon craziness also. I’ve got my camera ready to go and I need to find the sunscreen. I don’t know if I should wear shorts or jeans - my legs look pretty awful with the remnants of the poison ivy. I’ll probably do jeans.
So today will be a nice, chore-free day. Yay!!

It’s cool enough now to open my window. The air coming in the window is cooler than the air coming out of the vent.
Had a horrible night, damn bladder. I was up, literally, every hour and a half to two hours. Then of course Sah-dog needs to go out. I hope my procedure helps with this, take out some of the stuff in there that doesn’t belong there, then there will be enough room for what* is* supposed to be in there.
Groceries get delivered today. I should got to AT&T today but I will probably crash and burn after irk this morning.

I’ve got two projects that I have to finish if I’ve got any hope of enjoying my weekend. My weekend, in this case, involves playing around with radios and talking to people and such and just really geeking it up. It’ll be awesome!

Ooohh, purple plastic flamingos??? I have pink ones, I’ve seen the black skeleton ones, but I’ve never seen purple ones. Next time you see them, please stop, knock on the door & ask where they got 'em.
It’s a long story w/ all of the variants over the years & maybe I’ll write it up sometime to start us off some week but the RD version is that the homeowners left the country & I made the threatened exterior decor improvements while they were gone. :o
This is Ravens country, every damn thing comes in purple.
I’ve seen the regular ones on Amazon and there were some, I guess you would call ArtDeco, but I don’t know where those came from. If I happen to see them again I’ll ask.
It just kind of blew my mind when I saw them because who ever heard of a purple flamingo.
It’s funny that I don’t like purple or orange, the colors of the two sports teams in MD. Yet my favorite flowers are lilacs and tiger lilies. I love lavender and my butterfly bush too.

My friend has a, to put it kindly, lazy relative. If this relative and her husband spent as much time and energy actually working as they do in looking for ways to scam people out of money they’d be uber rich.
So said relative asked my friend if she could borrow $20. They had no money for food and hadn’t eaten all day (however they both chain smoke and had trouble buying cigarettes. My friend said she didn’t have $20 on her but she’d lend her $8. So my friend handed her the $8 knowing she won’t get it back, end of story.
Or so you would think.
Until said relative called up my friend and asked her when she could have the $12 my friend still owed her.
I think the relative could be starving and naked living on the streets and my friend won’t lend her so much as another dime.

So I’d called this one hardware place to ask about key copying (cat-sitter will need a set). They said “oh, sure. no prob.” So I load up the Jazzy, drive there, unload the Jazzy, and “Oh. we’re sorry, we don’t have the right blanks. But here’s the number for another place.” So I called and they said “no prob”
I loaded the Jazzy, drove to the other place, unloaded the Jazzy, and Yay! they made the copies. I also pick up a cutesy key chain. I loaded the Jazzy, drove home, unloaded the Jazzy just as the mail was being delivered. (timing) It’s circular day and I hate those things, so I asked how I could opt out. Carrier said he just won’t put any in my box. Yay! Less trash to pile up in my 'partment.
Lovely weather today. So much better than yesterday’s sauna. In fact - being outside completely de-blurfed me - for today at least.
