Thankfully, Nikki does not represent the majority of Florida’s young adults. Sadly, she seems to represent the most ignorant, vocal and verbally incomprehensible of the group.
Many of us here in FL actually DO have responsible, law-abiding and literate teenagers. They just don’t make the national news.

Over on Facebook, Nikki is spouting some pretty serious death threats against people who point out that the boys were at fault. Now I realize that most of it is just childish prattling, but well, here, read one for yourself:

Now, I’m 99.999% sure these are just silly, empty boasts by an apallingly immature 21 year old trying to impress people. But then again, she isn’t actually a child, she’s an adult at 21 and she IS uttering threats. Also if this is the attitude the kids in this family have, maybe it* is* relevant to the cause of the accident.

BTW - what’s the word for the trend how of driving fast then skidding so that your car slides sideways? It has a word like “coasting” or “lgiding” and came up on Fark a couple months back when some guys slid their car sideways off the top of a parking garage.
Oh, I remember! (Missed the edit window). It’s called “drifting” you can see jackasses doing it all over YouTube. And it sounds like that’s what these kids were doing. You go fast, hit the brakes and turn so that your car skids sideways. The problem is that kids get injured/killed when the car starts to roll.

But I have to say she adequately represents the Sparr/Anthony/Citra subset of the Ocala area.
My family has a nice horse farm down there but it is absolutely unpleasant to be around the locals. This isn’t your regular “town and gown” kind of issue, these people are freaky.
Please tell us more, the whole attitude of Nikki and her crowd is beyond bizarre. What is her “subset” like?

BTW–Nikki lives in Clermont, a suburb of Orlando. All she really knows about Ocala is that it’s midway between her home and Gainesville where she can enjoy “every weekened” and all those UF games and the “partying’ till 6 AM, but before the games its tailgetting time…ooo ya. Its a blast”
Her comments on the Topix board continue, and now she even has an alter ego, whose name begins with “rich” to make her death threats for her.
Those of us locals who live within the Ocala city limits would tend to agree that certain subsets of the area are a bit–shall we say–“skeery”.

Have “Nikki” and her ilk st up a “shrine” to the poor lads? I mean, have they festooned the fatal tree with ballons, flowers, candles, teddy bears, etc.?

Just an hour before heading out to the first funeral TODAY (and while her brother is laying in the morgue awaiting his funeral), Nikki added these details to her facebook profile:

And to her “interests” section, she added this today:
