Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis a cold 28 degrees Amurrkin out! The predicted high is 60 then it warms up again to low 80’s by Tuesday. Still it’s pleasent here in da cave without the heat on so I ain’t turnin’ it on yet. The bathroom is kinda coolish but there is an electric space heater in there to take care of that.

Nava my weird mind thinks things like, “why does Nava smell like pot roast?” Or, “I have a new perfume, Eau de Poke Tenderloin.” It’s fun in my little world! It’s all good with me as long as you don’t choose to smell like [del]fart blossoms[/del] brussels sprouts.

Ok, I must have more caffiene and should soon consider feedin’ rumbly tummy. I think OYKW is hankerin’ for Mexican so I’m thinkin’ that will be the N.O.L. plan. Burgers and fries for dindin for sure, since the burgers are all made up and in da fridge.
Sadly no. The poor lamb was snoozing on the couch before 9PM. There is always today however But I am the best wife in the history of the world ever!
I am up and feeling surpisingly good after the bottle of wine I drank. Headed to get my haircut and a pedicure today then Target and then as early Christmas present for mr ems we are going to see Ron White at the casino on the OK/TX state line. So fun day today I hope that the hangover doesn’t kick in!
Am up, considering what order to do things in. I want to go to the neighborhood Christmas bazaar. It was really nice last year. I’m pretty sure it starts at 10, so I’m thinking that’s the first item on the menu.
Then I think I’m going back to Staples to look again at a laptop that they had for a really good price. Need to figure out if I can actually afford it, but it would be good to have a brand new one available since both my laptops are on their last legs and I can’t use the iPad for everything.
After that, I think it will be gardening until I drop because it’s supposed to rain tomorrow.
I can still say good morning, but only for another hour. We got up early and went down to the auction - it was sheer insanity! Acres of stuff tagged with lot numbers. Two auctioneers doing their auction thang, stands to buy food, all manned by Amish folk (I’m pretty sure the farm is Amish - I think it’s owned by the guy who has a stand on 235 every weekend (except not today.)
We walked around and looked at stuff, not excited enough about anything to bother bidding - it could be hours before the big stuff was on the block. Someone got a large lot of sheets and towels for a buck! In fact, I heard a lot of people getting stuff for a buck. It was packed - parking was a nightmare, but my little car tucked into a corner.
I’ve got the second load of laundry in the machine. **FCD **is working on the new sump that will be installed in the bathtub/shower of the basement bathroom. Once I put the towels in the dryer, we’ll go to get some lunch, then pop into Lowe’s for… something he needs. I’ll try to find a sack of planting soil - I have to transplant some houseplants. I brought my spider plants inside and Taz has been enjoying the “salad bar” - so much that he’s horked up on the floor twice so far. Idiot cat.
I read all but forgot most, except that apparently **swampy **is gay! :eek: Who’d’a thunk it??
Well, if it’s not ok, and it’s Sprint, and you don’t go all fancy in your phones, I have 3 or 4 barely used Sprint phones available. My sister got all new phones for her house and then went on a Sprint boycott - spent $700 in cancellation fees and then gave me all her barely used phones.
The Diana exhibit was nice. I’m not a massive fan like my mother is but even I enjoyed it.
Spent my morning wrapping my mother’s christmas presents (the ones my mom bought, not the ones for my mother). Half of them had to be double wrapped - gift wrap then brown paper for shipping. It’s all done though and my mom is ecstatic.
Now I have to get dressed and go to the training center to volunteer as a mental patient for the therapy dog tests. My mom is gonna be a dementia patient (sadly, with her extreme ADD, it’s not often far from the truth).
Later on, Sweetie should be home from his overnight. YAY!
Back from lunch and more errands. My third load of laundry is in the dryer - I’m not doing any more today. I’ve found a pattern I really like, so I’m going to make it for my daughter - it’s a sweater, knitted all in one piece with a really pretty knitted pattern repeated a gazillion times. The only modification I’ll make is to lengthen it about 12" - she likes long tunic-like sweaters. I’ve just got to decide what color(s) to use.
While we were out running about, we got a small fireplace grate for our insert. The only problem is that the legs were too tall, so my sweetie is cutting them off right now. Yay! It’ll make starting and managing the fire a lot easier. I also got a bag of potting soil. Tomorrow, I’ll start transplanting from cheapie plastic pots to the assorted ceramic ones I’ve made.
HEE!!! That video made me snort and holler for OYKW to come watch. It has also been sent to JDD and Partner with a phone call to go check email. Funniest thing I’ve seen in a long time!
I has (ok we has) been productive! Dustin’ baseboards, chair rails and behind furniture at both places. WHEW! We also had Mexican for N.O.L. and bacon cheeseburgers for dindin. No nekkid bacon fryin’ occured.
Also, Jawja is beatin’ the snot outta Auburn right now. RAH!
Thank you. When I retrieved it, it was still working properly. I think that the case protected it somewhat. I guess I’ll know in the morning when I dig it out of the rice.
Tonight I’ve been working on tomorrow’s big lunch and also cleaning the kitchen. I wonder if my mother realizes what’s going to happen the next time that she buys another damn drinking glass or storage container… :dubious:
I need to go slice some onions for tomorrow but I keep putting it off. Guess I should go get to work.
Oh, and I almost forgot the most exciting news… GilaMonster is coming over to help!!! It’ll be just like old times. I plan to thoroughly annoy her with as many show tunes as I can cram into two hours. :D:p

StickyBuns if it makes ya feel any better, I once dropped a cellphone in a terlet. I took the battery out and gently washed off everything and left it out to dry overnight. It worked perfectly the next day. My lesson learnt was, never put my cellphone in my shirt pocket, decide to pee and then lean over the terlet to flush. Have fun with GilaMonster.
Plans for today are deheathenization followed by N.O.L. at the [del]hog trough[/del] all you can eat buffet place. Other than that, nappy poo time will happen as will most likely some laundry. I took a hunk o’ roast beast outta da freezer last night and will either chunk it up for some beast stew or make a pot roast for tomorrow. This is all TBD.
Now, I shall go seek out more caffiene. I’m thinkin’ about givin’ OYKW the honor of takin’ me to brekkie. Then again, since he has the honor of takin’ me to N.O.L. I might just make brekkie.
