Beef and broccoli stir fry with ... carrots?

Lately I’ve been making beef and broccoli stir fry with red bell pepper and jalapenos. I cook it all in a wok and add soy sauce. Comes out great!

I have carrots I want to use up before they go bad. How do you think they’d do if added to the above?

Carrots are a bit sweet, so I’m not sure what to expect.

Worth a try?

I always put carrots in my stir fries.

How could it go wrong?

ETA: Carrots + broccoli - so much the better.

Good to know. I’ll give it a shot!

A couple of local asian restaurants use carrot slices in their stir fry dishes. They’re lengthwise slices about 1/8" thick. The sweetness of the carrot doesn’t seem to affect the rest of the dish, but the carrot flavor comes through if you bite into a piece.

Definitely.

Sometimes when I go to Asian restaurants I’ll order the pepper steak sans the peppers but add carrots.

I calls it my “Five easy pieces” special.
