Does anyone know if the “classical” (or neo-classical) piece used in the TV ads for “Beef, it’s what for dinner” has a name? I’m sure many of you have seen the TV ad… - Jinx
No clue what it is, but I am in love with those commercials.

Not sure of the name, but I"m something like 98% sure it’s from the opera Carmen.

My roommate in college had this song on CD, and was SHOCKED when at the end of the song, I erupted in the words “Beef Beef Beef” to the last three beats.
Good times.
It’s Rodeo: Hoedown by Aaron Copland. My favorite recording of it is the one done by Leonard Bernstein. It’s one of my favorite pieces of music.
The CD I linked do has not only the “Beef: It’s What’s for Dinner” music (Rodeo: Hoedown), but the “Georgia Pacific” music (Appalachian Spring) and the “Wide World of Sports” music (Fanfare for the Common Man).
