That’s funny, but this one is the best by far. KAPLA!

The music from Dragon Roost Island live. And amazing.

James May, a British person travels to the edge of space in a U2 and is right properly amazed.
James May likes train sets; he is a British person after all.
It’s Time to Get Laid, Bart Got a Room.
This is Norway where we are born with skis on our feets.
The Tree and the Cat, Soviet Animation (w/ English subtitles) about a tree who teaches a cat about independence.
His Wife is a Hen, Soviet animation. WTF!!! And Part two.
When Cats Pray, title.

Maybe you’ve already seen KISS Shreds, but the Rolling Stones one is better.

Der Schneemann (The Snowman).
A mid-war German cartoon (!). Don’t worry, it’s “clean”—and it’s a fascinating example of a “line” of animation that (I’m presuming) pretty much went defunct due to the war. Very distinct from American or Japanese cartoons—it looks almost modern, and a little eerie.

Momotaro’s Divine Sea Warriors, on the other hand, the first full-length anime feature film from 1945, is much more horrifying. Especially the last section.

Anyone who thinks those old wartime Warner Bros cartoons were too jingo or militaristic—get a load of that. Of interesting note is the english dialogue of the enemies haggling over their surrender terms near the end. It’s not unreasonable to guess that the actors were prisoners of war.

Yow.

Interestingly, that part is referring to the British defeat and surrender to the Japanese in Singapore. The British documentary “The World at war” showed that the Japanese changed very little regarding what took place at the surrender talks.

Even on the British documentary Lt Gen Percival came as indecisive or unwilling to admit he was surrendering and clumsily stalling for time.

What the propaganda film omits are the war crimes committed during and after the conquest of Singapore, Yamashita was later convicted and hanged in the Philippines on 23 February 1946.

Absolutely extraordinary.

Everyone: Watch it.

Hope y’all take this one in the right spirit:
The Old Negro Space Program

also pls ignore the usual Youtube idiots’ comments

I think the best YouTube clips capture moments that in the pre-internet age many of us missed because we didn’t have the patience to watch b-movies on VHS for these nuggets.

I present to you, if you haven’t yet seen it:

“Top That” from Teen Witch (1989)

I defy you to find anything better on YouTube. Keep in mind, this wasn’t meant to be comedic.

Also - this is admittedly less than relevant, but the woman in the sand-animation video is extraordinarily hot.

They must’ve also missed the 500 times this was shown on the Family Channel, too. In fact, the censorship suggests this was probably from the television run.

Anyways, here’s a funny one:

NO WAY.

Are you saying there’s an uncensored version floating around out there? Does the rapping girl say “shit?” I have got to see this!

Folks, you’ve both been whooshed. It says in the more info it’s a fake, not to mention in the comments.

I’ve merged Hippy Hollow’s thread from last night into this one.
