Now that I have your attention. 3 of the last 4 times, I have drank beer, I have woke up in the middle of the night with severe stomach pains. I then vomit a little bit of stomach acid and lots of dry heaving. I then have to vacate my bowels post haste. This is usually after 6ish beers. It’s been the same beer brand each time (Rolling Rock, no jokes:)). I have had single beers since then of the same brand with no ill effects. I am scared to try drinking more though. This all happened several months ago and I’d like to put a drunk on at some point and time again in the future.
Background. I had hepatitis when I was 10 (I’m 30 now) and the doc told me to never drink or do drugs, but I always just thought it was a “scare” kind of thing. I’ve drank a LOT since then with no ill effects out of the ordinary. They didn’t know what kind of hepatitis it was, they just called it “non A non B”. Could this have anything to do with it? Should I try a different brand? Should I work my way back up?
I should probably just see a doctor, but I’d really rather not unless I’m pretty sure I’m dying or something.
As always, thanks in advance.
not a doctor and all that.
Where to start. God, please change brands! You say your 30, I have to assume you’re not living in the frat house anymore! What did you eat before hand? No, Taco Bell won’t do it if you have a normal digestive tract. Your Hep is the concern. A doc will tell you to avoid alcohol, but if you are otherwise healthy, barring severe liver damage, you’re good for an occasional binge. Just be very careful. (I have some liver damage, but still kicking).
The thing you need to pay attention to is the dry-heaves. It’s your body telling you that it’s too much. Don’t buy into the “light-weight” crap. Your body knows what amount of alcohol (if any) it can handle, regardless what your peers deem acceptable.
