I had a children’s encyclopedia (I think it had Peanuts characters) that reported that a delicacy in the Middle East involved something like that. I remember it was a sheep stuffed inside a camel, but I don’t remember any of the more progressively smaller things. I think birds were somewhere in the mix, but that’s about it.

Actually, after I saw the description I realized that I had heard of this before.
Just didn’t make the connection until then.
It sounds like an interesting combination, and I’m partial to food that raises your cholesterol just by looking at it. So we may have to try this at casa FST, if I can talk Mrs. FST into it(she is kinda’ new food phobic).
Hebert’s Specialty Meats claims to be the “original” home of the turducken. I haven’t had their turducken, but when I worked in Maurice, LA I got hooked on the stuffed pork chops. The stuffed boneless chickens are out of this world good too.
