Being a guest on late night TV for the MMP

This morning I went out to a store and bought some towels and I went to a drugstore and bought some pills. I’m doing laundry now. I’m drinking a club soda.

Yeah, not too exciting to read. :stuck_out_tongue:

Laundry is done, kitchen is clean, off to work.

Yes, one of the families who came to steal silverware-that is, represented at the party in *Bored of the Rings.

“Boogies stay away from humans, or “Buggers” as they call us, and do not like devices more complicated than a garotte or a Luger.”

All calls have been made except one, it’s not an easy call and I’m not going to deal with it today.
Bills are paid.

I got a surprise $100 check in the mail, I did a favor for someone and she said she would send me a little something. I thought maybe $25 or something, I wasn’t too worried about it and didn’t care if she sent me anything or not. I thought about telling her she sent too much but WTH, just say thank you and keep on keeping on.
I also found out I still have money on a McD gift card, it’s only $5 but since the son and I only order off the dollar menu that is an almost free meal for both of us.

revives the MMP

Surprise money is always nice.

Supper was very yum, tho **FCD **was quite late - it was nearly 5 when he got here, and his hours are 6:30-3. He gets to take the extra time as credit hours, which is nice.

It’s still drizzly, but it’s dark, so I can’t see it.

Pie later, yay.

Howdy from da cave! Dindin has been ingested, bein’ as it was leftovers from yestiddy that was easy enough. I have couch chikin bakin’ away for tomorrow night. Go Me!

Sari yay for surprise money!

flytrap armed boogers sounds dangerous.

couch chickin? Did I miss a memo?

I now declare it to be recline time.

MWAH!

Hidey ho, Mumpers! Best wishes to you and your mom, BooFae and those of you with various other varieties of bleh.

Swampy, thanks for telling me about the Mumper Food Blog. Sorry I didn’t say it sooner. Love all the yums there!

I finally realized something this morning. For several mornings now, I’ve been hearing a phone persistently ringing. For hours. One of kind we had before cell phones got popular, not the older ones with the actual bell tucked inside. It wasn’t loud enough to be annoying and it sounded like it was coming from outside, like though a speaker, maybe. Though it was entirely possible that it was coming from one of the neighboring apartments. But who would let a phone ring that long. And who would be on the other end waiting for someone to pick up all that time?

Finally occurred to me that it was a foghorn. Apparently, like phones, they have changed their tune, too. Or this one at least. Good news is, it looks like after about a week, the fog has decided to clear out for a while. Though it was still thick in the Bay this morning, the sky was a bright blue. Now the Bay is clear too.

This post is purely to annoy Swampy because I’m starting Page 2. :stuck_out_tongue:

What do you make for sides with couch chickin, couch potatoes?

I too, am wondering what couch chicken is. Please enlighten (and if it’s good, share the recipe) oh, Ursine one.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, a plate of lemon sesame (a little too much lemon) chicken and veggies.

My apartment is clean. It’s a pity I can only afford to have her in once a month, but she really earns her fee.

With any luck, I’ll end on on the Jerry Springer show.

Why, you ask?

I found out that my father died last week. Didn’t even really know he was still alive, to give you an idea of how close we were. He left when I was in grade school, so we weren’t exactly on each other’s Christmas card list.

To provide some scale, I’ve known my manager for longer than I’ve known my father. No sympathies or condolences needed here.

Now for the Springer part. I found the old man’s obit, and someone who I can only assume to be his second wife pretends I don’t exist. The obit lists my other siblings and their kids as survivors, but I’m curiously missing. They got names, ages and locations of grandkids, so I doubt the ommission was accidental.

gotti that sucks. However, their problem. We lurves ya here.

Couch chikin is chikin divan. A divan is a sofa, hence couch chikin. A green sallit and rolls shall accompany it tomorrow night.

Crow glad you like the blog. Some good stuff there.

It’s still waaaaaaaaaaaaaay foggy out. I feel as if I have been transported to the land of BooFae and Nuts or maybe gotti and crow.

I shall now go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time. I’s tahrd.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Doing what I am always doing this time of year - work and watch the PA Farm Show on TV and miss being there. Right now is human square dancing which I can tolerate as a warm up for the main event – tractor square dancing! Since they dropped the polka finals its the best thing at the show. That and horse/pony pulling. Which isn’t that well named really since the horses and ponies DO the pulling and are not themselves pulled. But I digress.

They are said to be largely harmless, until a hundred or so will dry gulch a lone farmer or hunter.

On that note I think me and Mr Pillow need to go shake hands.

Worked, met the new DM for 30seconds, got stuck with just the Space Cadet cashier for the evening rush. Back in 6 hours. And there’s a Winter Storm Watch for Wednesday. :glares at swampy and the “No Snow” sign :

and an end-ive table salad.:stuck_out_tongue:

If your pillow has hands, up your meds.
