That would be one of the worst things that can happen, IMO, when it comes to posting in a thread-- you post something that you think is relevant to the subject at hand, and you wait and wait for the thread to continue; it then does, but your response is just brushed off, no matter how relevant it may be.

Maybe the thoughtful post was such a perfect summation of what matters that no one had anything further to contribute on that aspect.
