I was good at Fortran and Pascal programming in college. So good that the dean of the computer science program tried hard to get me to transfer from mechanical engineering. I said hell no, I hated programming and probably lost million in income over the years because of it.
Thats OK, I still hate programming of any kind. In fact my last assignment before retirement was to document and teach others how to put together configuration files. That sucked and I milked out the project until my retirement date.
COBOL is better than INTERCAL. Maybe.
