I strongly disagree (not that I like Fiorina) – I don’t believe Carson has much of a grasp of reality. He says crazy things all the time, like he actually seems to believe them. I think he’s a nut, and I’ve seen nothing from him lately that challenges this.
I said CLINTON would be a better President than Fiorina.
Funny that I only just noticed that their names are somewhat similar.
Oops, don’t know how I read that wrong. Maybe I confused the thread title with the post.
Fiorina would probably be a better President than Carson(virtually anyone other than Trump would be), so I agree with you there too.
I’m not actually a supporter of Carson for President at this point, I just have a lot of affection for the man, and I’m sorta rooting for his candidacy to expose the system. It started to look like it might, but then he just fell off the ignorant wagon again, so we’re back to square one on that front. I was hoping he’d be smart enough to get polished by now.
Who are you supporting this week?
Last time he told us, it was Kasich.
Except oops. Down to 1% and headed for relegation.
The best thing he can do right now is shut up for a while.
What is he exposing other than the vacuity of his political views, pray tell? What system are you referring to?
The one that generally elects people so cynical and hypocritical that even a total moron like Carson briefly appears to be a viable candidate.
My hope was that Carson, due to his intelligence, would learn the craft quickly and become so polished and charismatic that most voters would forget how bad he was early.
He’s still got time, not many are paying close attention yet(Carson’s lead over Clinton in polls attests to that), but it’s October now and he’s still having problems.
Here’s an idea. Instead of wanting him to be polished in front of cameras and mikes, how about wanting him to know something about things like foreign policy, or economics, or even non-medical science?
Like Sarah Palin, he may not be a complete imbecile, but his stunning ignorance on important issues at his age show that he is not fit to hold any policy-making office, let alone President.
Why would I want a Presidential candidate to actually know things? That’s what handlers are for.
Well, sure, the pilot is blind, that’s why the dog!
It is clear that the distortion field you are getting your info from has not detected the Bush the lesser years.
I had thought it was over 24 hours since Candidate Carson had said anything stupid - a new record for the esteemed  doctor. A quick Google News search proved me wrong: Ben Carson says Americans were better educated in the 1830s than they are today. No, they weren’t. Someone had to Snopes it for him. :smack:
Well, surely he can’t be blamed for that. He was just quoting from some guy’s book.
And a chain email. You’re forgetting the chain email.
Somebody better explain to Dr. Carson what a “chain” e-mail is, so that he doesn’t get the wrong idea.
Actually I don’t blame him. The words are not Ben Carson’s, and the last thing anyone needs is some kind of “black-off.” These are two men of incredible accomplishment in their fields, and to force either one of them to address Murdoch’s racist comment would be an insult to them.
