Can someone tell me or link to the relevant page where I can see the benefits of paid of membership? I can’t seem to find the info. Thanks.
I don’t have a link, but off the top of my head, I think you get:
- No ads
- A location field under your user name
- Post count is displayed
- More private message storage space allowed
- The ability to post a picture in your profille
- “Member” rather than “Guest” as your title
Plus, if you see a Guest on the street, you’re legally allowed to give him/her a wedgie.
That’s not true.
But you can say “Step aside, peasant.”
I kid, I kid. Just kick 'em out of the way.
Count de Monet: It is said that the people are revolting.
King Louis XVI: You said it! They stink on ice!
Help, Help, I’m being repressed!
Whoops…looks like I owe my wife an apology.
How did you give a wedgie to a sheep? <innocent look>
He meant to say he pulled the wool over her eyes.
Y’all are just too baaaad.
Darn it.

Sorry to do this to the SDMB, but I can tell you posters how to get some of the features (as demonstrated in this post) of a paid membership for a low low one time fee of $3.95.
Not only do you get the fields like “Posts” and “Locations”, you can have additional fields added for just $1.00 per field. Just let me know if you are interested and we can make payment arrangements.
But is there an app for that?
A moderator and administrator post in this thread but no answer to the OP or a verification Oakminster’s post?
Interesting.
I guess customer service isn’t one of the benefits.
Maybe. My approach, however, is more of a business method (easier to create, no maintenance).
Of course I was being facetious. (Isn’t it fun?)
It’s always nice when Dopers do for one another, in this thread and everywhere else. A bit of knowledge, a bit of humor, it’s all a good thing.
Thanks to everyone who makes this place – and the day – a tad better.
They got distracted by spinning a yarn.
I know. Half of what I post is not serious, but it’s not always obvious.
