OK, dopers, I need your help, as this has been bugging me for days. I remember reading a SF novel in the 70s or 80s, in which there is mention of a late symphony (around #6-8 or so) of Leonard Bernstein, named Ruth. Of course by now he is gone and left us only 3 symphonies (all named), but at the time that the novel was published he was alive and kicking. I have a vague idea it might be Asimov, but I can’t find it. Does this ring a bell?
