That’s a blast from the past. I still have some of their stuff.
My submission:
Lords of Acid
Even worse than Anal Cunt, huh?
Attack of the 50 foot Jesus
Great band. If it was possible to wear out a CD I would have done it. I really wish they had recorded more.
…which reminds me of MC 900 Ft. Jesus.
I always thought The Plasmatics was a pretty cool name.
And then there’s Jesus Chrysler and The Scrotum Poles.
The Screaming Blue Messiahs
Steel Pole Bath Tub
Man or Astro-Man?
Ultra Baby Fat
Guadalcanal Diary
Another Al Jourgenson side project:
Revolting Cocks
? and the Mysterians
Bring Me The Horizon
Squirrel Nut Zippers
Battle of the Bands
The Jesus and Mary Chain
Local Band: Wargasm
Buddy Hinton’s Revenge
Massive Attack
Brutal Truth
Bathtub Shitter
Truckfighters
Wolves In the Throne Room
Crunt
ETA: How could I forget Extreme Noise Terror?
The Screamin’ Cheetah Wheelies
The Sneaker Pimps
The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza
Atari Teenage Riot
There was a local band in town named The Cunning Runts.

Sorry About Dresden
I once attended a show in Portland where the opening band was a local group called “Star Wars Episode I”. I assume they chose that name specifically for the reaction they got from the crowd when they introduced themselves;
Singer: “How’s everyone doing tonight?”
Audience: “YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!”
Singer: “Thank you. We are Star Wars Episode I!”
Audience: “BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”
Aside from that, I’ve always been fond of these names;
And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead
Godspeed You Black Emperor
John Cougar Concentration Camp
MP3 (a vocal group consisting of three Members of Parliament)
Garfunkel and Oates
Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts
Optimus Rhyme
Valient Thorr (whose lead singer has the similarly amusing stage name “Valient Himself”)
Cheer Up Charlie Daniels
The Toadliquors
The City Comes Alive
oOoOO
The Maine
Simon Says Die
The World Is A Beautiful Place & I Am No Longer Afraid To Die
Hookers Made Out Of Cocaine
Let’s Drive To Alaska
Douglas And The Furs
