Best Beatles Song?

Agh, I completely forgot about Blackbird. That was one of our wedding songs. What a moving performance.

Also, my favorite for content is Across the Universe.

I’m glad to see the love for “A Day in the Life.”

I read somewhere that “Blackbird” was their support for the civil rights movement here in the U.S., which makes it a song of moment. Wow, great song!

And “Mother Nature’s Son” is wonderful, idyllic, beautiful in its simplicity.

“Let It Be,” even though I’m not Catholic, is a song I return to again and again. It suggests a surrender to something greater, finding comfort, and warms me.

And then you have the “machine gun” version of Revolution. Dayum!

But ultimately if I have to pick one…“A Day in the Life.” Toward the end, the ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh is just haunting.

I was in London, about 5 years ago. On the tour, they took us past Albert Hall. I thought, ‘Now they know how many holes it takes to fill it.’

I’d love to turn you on, dopers.
