Pick the only Beatles song you can ever listen to again, ever.

Mine is Penny Lane. What is the single Beatles song you’d pick if you had to, the only one you could ever listen to again?

Holy cow, what a decision.

While My Guitar Gently Weeps.

Great choice. That would be up there, but Penny Lane is the one fo’ me.

Please Please Me. The stereo edit where John flubs his line.

The medley at the end of Abbey Road.

Or is that cheating?:stuck_out_tongue:

Strawberry Fields Forever. Not my favorite, but the one I couldn’t see getting tired of after awhile.

A Day In The Life

That one for me too.

If I could never hear a Beatles song again, it would be “Come Together.”

Me, too.

My answer: Revolution

Of course, I grew up with the Beatles (not because I lived back then, but because my dad loved them). One day I discovered what is called modern music, and found that it’s so much better, and now I despise the Beatles and just about every band or song that would be considered an ‘oldy’. Still, I do hang on to this one, the recording quality and performance sucks like all their songs (the Beatles were the least talented band in history, even my dad agrees with that, and he would know, being the runner up for the Three Dog Night bass player), but I like it, it’s edgy, and seems to push the limits a bit, a little ahead of its time maybe, so I guess that’s why I like it ;).

Blackbird.

I’m probably going to make some heads explode, but I’m going to say Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.

Not my favorite song, but I do like it. Some of my favs can be a bit heavy-- Rain, Strawberry Fields, Sexy Sadie, While My Guitar…, Hey Jude, Revolution. But OLD-OLD is an upbeat song crafted very well. I’m not saying I’d listen to it every day, but if this was the only Beatles’ song I could ever listen to I’d be okay with it.

My Life

The older I get, the more meaning this song has for me. I did this one at karaoke a couple of weeks ago with the Fella. It’s a special song for both of us.

I guess I’m NOT the only one who would choose Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da. I can’t help it, that bouncy bass line always cheers me up.

It’s too easy, but if allowed, I’ll pick this too. If not, then Here Comes The Sun

Dear Prudence

Please Please Me. My favorite Beatle recording, a perfect pop single.

Edit: just read the other entries. Stereo for me too. I like John’s flub, and I enjoy hard panning stereo left or right to hear how they put the song together.

Here Comes the Sun.

In My Life

Eleanor Rigby.
