Normally I do not like new Christmas songs. I prefer the old favourites, and preferably done by the orig artists. Mean Mary James put out a song last year called “Ding Dong Day” that blew me away. IMO it is really a terrific song, as she is a terrific artist. She writes her own songs and plays umpteen different instruments. Do yourself a favor and check out the clip on youtube:
After checking out the somewhat ironic clip, try putting on headphones and listening to her voice.
The lyrics are really pertinent to these troubled times. She is a niche (bluegrass) artist who really should be better known.
