Best arena concert: Black Sabbath, w/ Pantera opening, on the 1999 reunion tour At Continental Airlines Arena, NY
Best club show: Jimmie’s Chicken Shack, opening weekend at the Garage in DC, last month. Laughing Colors, who I hadn’t previously heard of, opened, and made at least one instant fan. Highly reccomend them to anyone in the DC/Maryland/Virginia area.
Metallica, “On The Load Again” Tour, I think. An indoor tour, they blew up the stage after the show… pyros going haywire… guy falling out of the rafters… burn suited dude running around… and the band played on.
The early bird gets the worm, but the second mouse gets the cheese.
