I had a chance to try a Philip “Wake to Light” alarm clock, and while I liked the waking to light part, the rest of the device wasn’t so good. In particular, the display can’t be dimmed to totally dark, so even at lowest setting it casts an annoying glow. Also, alarm is not easiest to set and it doesn’t offer many features you expect on a clock radio (e.g., station presets).
So, can anyone recommend something else that, at a minimum, can be completely darkened at night?
