Best novel ever: Ulrich Haarbusrte's "Novel of Roy Orbison in Clingfilm"

At least, the best I’ve ever read. It’s quite good as a straight forward story of one man’s adventure, but that’s not what it’s really about. It’s a uniquely insightful look at fetishisation and obsession. He also manages to very convincingly portray an incompetent German writer, I’ve never seen anyone so convincingly write as if in a second language before. And in a very German manner.

He has a website! Really gets the turn of phrase across.
