About half a good year - I was tempted to go with LCD Soundsystem, but since I already gave them a vote, I think I’m going to give it to M.I.A., with Amy Winehouse a close second.
Hot damn!, music woke up in 2007. It’s really a fantastic year, but I went with The National. In close second was LCD Soundsystem*.
*in a useless but classic SDMB footnote, I was gifted that CD by a proud family member of one of the band’s musicians
Kind of a mixed bag here, not as tight as some of the previous years. I did end up with LCd Soundsystem here, with Kanye second.

Gave my vote to the late Amy Winehouse, I like the retro sounding “Rehab” song, too bad it was appropriate in real life.
