Best place to list used car for sale? (Chicago)

I’m back in Chicago again, so I need to get rid of the junker I bought for commuting. I think I could probably get a couple grand for it if I sell it myself, so that’s where you guys come in: where do you think I should list my car?

I’m thinking maybe the Reader, but that’s kind of small. Maybe the Trib, to keep Cecil’s belly full? Where do you all look for used cars?

Thanks, TD.

The Daily Herald (NW Suburbs) and the Sun Times. That’s where Mr2U looks for cars anyway.

I live downtown - would people in the suburbs bother coming into the city to look at a car?

Sun Times is a good idea, though. Thanks!

Don’t forget the Reader. Tribune, cars.com

Craigslist has lots of urban readers and is free and fast. Worth a shot.

You betchya - if the price is right. I once went from Addison to Antioch to look at a used car.

Good luck selling it!

I always thought of the SunTimes for cars rather than the Trib.

Kelley Blue Book will help you to determine the appropriate price to advertise, and direct you to listing services, should you wish to sell your car via the net.
