Zyada and I went out on a little road trip today, following a coupon we found in a local free paper. We were very pleasantly surprised by the Antique Rose Plantation in Jacksboro, Texas, a couple of hours drive west of Fort Worth. The owner is seriously keen on roses, and is willing to tell you all about it. He even named his cat ‘Compost’ - I’m not sure about his kids. Best of all, he wants so much for you to like his roses that we came home with a bunch of free samples! You can’t find a better place than one operated by an enthusiast. We’ll be going back there when we need more!
