Best price for dual-layer recordable DVDs?

Sorry for posting such a simple question in GQ, but I’m not sure where else it would go. Mods, please move it if appropriate.

I’m setting up a big file server for a friend’s business, and he’s going to be using recordable DVDs to do his backups. But one of the files they use is a giant 5.5GB database, and so I thought we were out of luck until I remembered that they actually make dual-layer DVD+/-R discs. (Since I never have use for them myself, I had forgotten they even existed.)

I went to Best Buy and got lucky on a 20-pack that was on sale for $29.99, but the sale is over now and their regular prices are more like $45-$50 for a 20 pack. Can anybody point me to an online vendor that’s significantly cheaper? I tried a Google product search, and the best price I found was here, at $34.99 for a 25-pack. That seems like a darn good price to me, but I’d prefer 4x discs instead of 2.4x if possible (it appears that only DVD-R dual layers are capable of 4x recording, but I could be wrong; in any case, either +R or -R will work fine).

So, does anybody else know of a cheap and reliable source for some dual-layer discs? Thanks for any help!

If the data is important enough to need to be backed up, then media quality is far more important than media price.

Yeah, I guess I should have specified that I’m looking for a source for regular Memorex or Sony or Verbatim media, or some other well-known brand. I’d prefer not to deal with ultra-cheap generic brands, for exactly the reason you specify. The link I posted is for Memorex DVD+Rs, but I haven’t had a problem with Sony or TDK or Verbatim either.

Really, I’ve found in all my time of buying recordable media is that you have to wait until the brand you like goes on sale and buy a bunch. I cruise the Sunday circulars for Best Buy, Office Max, Staples, etc and find great deals - except with no real regularity.

Far from being the cheapest but arguably the best as far as reliability goes are Taio Yuden discs.
Example

I looked at your link, but the only Taio Yuden discs were 4.7GB. I didn’t see any dual layer discs. Do they make dual layer discs as well?
