So I was perusing the net and was astounded to see the high price for DVD-Rs, even in bulk. I checked out Ebay and found that even in packs of 100, they sell for at least 75 cents per DVD. Are there better deals elsewhere? As a secondary question, why are DVD-Rs so much more expensive than CD-Rs (which I’ve bought a 100 pack of for 10 bucks)?
Duder, I buy from http://americal.com/ and I think it still is about .75 per DVD, but you don’t have to buy 100. I bought 50 and have been able to burn at 4x, no problems at all. You could probably find cheaper, but they would not be certified for 4x burn.
Blank DVD’s are different animal, and they are manufactured in much smaller quantities (right now anyway). I remember buying my first CD-R for $20… so it could be a lot worse
It depends which dvd blanks you want. $77 for 100 4X dvd-r Princos & $80 for 2x Accu dvd-rs are prices I saw lately. Those are cheap compared to stores like Office Depot.
