Best Reno casino buffets on Saturday?

A few months ago, a gaggle of us were in Reno and went to (if memory serves) the seafood buffet at the Peppermill. We ate and ate and ate. Nay, we gorged. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and the staff never stopped shoveling shrimp and lobster tails on our plates.

This weekend, we’ll be in Reno again. However, it will be on Saturday night. There are too many casinos in Reno for me to count or know about, and a quick look at some of their websites seems to show that the seafood seems to be only on Fridays.

So, does anyone know if any casinos in Reno do a seafood buffet on Saturdays, and failing that, what’s the best all-around one in town?

Last time I spent some time in Reno (2000), the best all-around buffet I found was at the Hilton… kind of pricey, though.

I’ll look around a little and post again tomorrow - I don’t spend too much time in the casinos, but I’ll see if I can find you something.

If you’re interested, there are a couple of pretty good brew-pubs in town. One’s got good beer and excellent food, and the other good food and excellent beer. I’m a big fan of the second.

Saturday buffet at the Peppermill has steak and crab legs, as well as some other seafood (oysters and shrimp, maybe?).

If you want to stay in the downtown area (the Peppermill is a mile or two down Virginia Street), I think the Eldorado and Silver Legacy are your best bet. Pretty nice casinos, decent food and drinks, and they’re right in the middle of downtown. They’re on Fourt street between Virginia and Sierra - Silver Legacy on the north side and Eldorado on the south. Good luck!

If memory serves me correctly…

I think the Atlantis has a seafood buffet all weekend.

Hilton, baby. It’s the best.
Plus they have laser tag!
