Yet another vote for Rock N Rye.
Also, around the Pittsburgh area, and interesting Ginger Ale is Tom Tucker. It’s mint flavor. I still prefer Vernor’s, but Tom Tucker is a close second.

Lemmy sparkling lemonade. I just bought some at the ‘local’ old-timey soda store and it’s really good.
In the Metro DC area there’s a local brand called “Rock Creek Soda” (now owned by Canada Dry, but they don’t sell it anywhere else but here) and they have (or had) a flavor of ginger ale called “Tiger Ale.” It was fantastic. More ginger-y than any ginger ale I’ve ever tasted, even homemade ones. Haven’t seen it in a while, not sure if they even make it anymore.
The A&W cream soda, that was sort of gold in colour?
Boylan’s black cherry soda is fantastic.
<drops mic>
I grew up drinking Cactus Cooler, and have never found anything that tops it. Sadly, as I am no longer in SoCal, I can’t get it anymore.
Town Club Michigan cherry pop. Made with real sugar.
From the Coca-Cola Freestyle Machine, I strongly recommend Fanta Peach.
Also, I second Cheerwine. It has shit-tons of caffeine, though, and it turns your teeth red.
Yeah, for us poor kids in Michigan, Faygo was too upmarket, it was Towne Club all the way.
Curiously, I only know of one Chicago-area restaurant that carries it as a fountain drink: the Doggie Diner chain of dog/beef/gyro joints. There very well could be others but that’s the only place I’ve seen it at. But, yeah, bottles are easy to get in local grocery stores around here. Yummy stuff, too.
That’s pretty good creme soda, too. Widely available locally.
Inca Kola, the Peruvian drink, especially the Zero version.
Dammit. I can’t find it anywhere.
Foxon Park Gassosa
Stewart’s Black Cherry
(Mexican, real cane sugar) Squirt
Wait a second! Are you telling me there is something “downmarket” of Faygo, the official drink of Juggalos?
you piss on Faygo and I will cut you
I just got back from Peru. Tastes like bubblegum. I recall a similar soda in Turkey with an even stronger flavor. I’ll have to dig up my journal from my Turkey trip to see what it was.
Along the same idea, Spruce Beer is a thing. I’ve not seen it in stores in my province since the 90s, but it was tasty enough.
I’m pretty sure the Lindy’s Gerties (at least the one in McKinley Park) also has it either on the fountain or on the gun. But, other than that, I can’t think of any other place off the top of my head that does. I feel like I’ve seen it elsewhere, but it’s certainly not that common the way other regional sodas like Big Red are. Like, for example, I’ve never seen a gas station with Green River.
