Best Song Off Of "Moving Pictures"

As this is “Moving Pictures” 20th anniversary, I thought I’d put this poll up:

I voted for Tom Sawyer, which was used as entrance music by former N.W.A. Champion Kerry Von Erich.

Probably be the only one, but I went with “Vital Signs”.

Also, it’s the 30th anniversary coming up, no the 20th. We are all old.

Living in the limelight, the universal dream…

I think *Limelight *barely beats out Red Barchetta.

*YYZ *is very underrated, probably because it’s an instrumental, though I actually heard it on the radio the other week!

Just the opposite of Suburban Plankton, I have Red Barchetta over *Limelight *by a nose…

Tough call. For me the only song not in the running is “Vital Signs”, and I’d tend to not vote for “Tom Sawyer” only because it’s been played to death. I went with “The Camera Eye” only because I’ve always been a fan of their longer pieces.

If I’m not mistaken, didn’t “YYZ” get edged out by the Police’s “Behind My Camel” as Grammy winner for Best Instrumental the year they were released?

Went with “Limelight” since that was the first song that popped into my head when I read the question.

Lots of good songs but I picked the Camera Eye.

Being only a casual Rush fan, I guess I tend to go for the obvious stuff. So for me it was a toss-up between “Tom Sawyer” and “Limelight,” with the final decision going to the former for those juicy synths. “Red Barchetta” gets points off for Geddy Lee’s mispronunciation of the title.

I love “Tom Sawyer,” and I don’t care how popular it is.

Second choice would probably be “Witch Hunt.”

It was so cool getting to see them perform MP in its entirety on tour this summer.

+1

Wow, I thought I was voting for the underdog by choosing “The Camera Eye”, but it’s winning!

Guess?

Heck, I DID just see them a week ago! My 52nd time.

Many good ones to pick but I choose Red Barchetta because it was the first one I heard thirty years ago.

My favorite sing-a-long song is Limelight but Tom Sawyer is my favorite listening song. And then there’s YYZ for banging on the pots and pans with my little girl. . .
It’s hard to decide!

Had to go with Limelight.
Memories demand it: it was the background music to the promises we made in drama class to come back and haunt the theater’s stage when we died, vowing that if they ever made diet Mt Dew that the world would end.

and yep, we’re old. :stuck_out_tongue:

Same here! I’ve been a fan for quite awhile but had never gotten the chance to see them live. I decided that I was going to get tickets for this tour for my hubby’s birthday/early Xmas present and we had a BLAST. He saw them on their “Signals” tour, the lucky bunny!

Can’t wait for “Clockwork Angels” to come out!

Definitely “Red Barchetta”, followed closely by “YYZ”, “Tom Sawyer”, and “The Camera Eye”.

I had a hard time deciding between Tom Sawyer and Limelight.
