Best song on Metallica's ...And Justice for All?

(Kill 'Em All, Ride the Lightning, and Master of Puppets polls.)

One choice: That’s all ye can have.

This album almost made me stop listening to Metallica. I thought this was where they peaked. I thought it was just a guitar album and didn’t have enough ummph to it. Was way glad to have the Black album come out later.

I voted for Sanity. IMO, it’s the only song on the album that is complete from beginning to end. One is good, but it starts off to slowly for me.

Concert note: We were in Austin, TX for this show at an outside venue. It was just after sunset. The beginning of One was playing and the entire stage was dark. For some reason, there were two helicopters circling around the place. One approached from the left of the stage and one approached from the right. Just as they were almost in place, the song kicked in and the flash pods were HUGE. And then the rocking commenced. I wasn’t even drinking, but it was easily one of my top 5 concert moments. They couldn’t have planned it better.

Such a pity that Metallica only released four albums, right?

…and only 3 albums with bass.

Tough pick here, cuz Justice has never been one of my favorite Metallica albums (I guess it was all downhill after Puppets, although I did like Black and Garage Days). Voted for Harvester, because it’s always fun to rock out to.

I voted for “Justice” because I think that has one of the best drums in the album.

Had it down to “Blackened” or “To Live Is To Die” because I think those 2 are the most representative of what pre-Black Album Metallica was about. “To Live Is To Die” won, for epic-ness.

This pretty much says why I voted for “To Live Is To Die” also. Although I really love all the songs on this album.

I must say that I’m happy to see that I’m no longer the only person giving some love to “The Shortest Straw”. Great tune, as are “Blackened”, “One”, “To Live Is to Die”, and “Dyer’s Eve”, as well.

Has to be “One” for me. One of the best intros to a song ever.

Dyer’s Eve for me.

It’s short and sweet.

Well, “One” is the only Metallica song I actually like, so…

One wins because of the video.
