On reflection, I guess those are all dramas; *alltime *should include All in the Family and The Honeymooners. So for the purposes of this thread, let’s stick to dramas; maybe someone else will start a sitcom thread.

I’m not that old so my perspective my be skewed a bit. I have a hard time ranking movies, songs, books, and television series in any definitive order. What criteria should I use? Is it more important that I liked the show or that the show has been an influence? In no particular order here are 5 shows that I think were very excellent for a variety of reasons.

  1. The Twilight Zone
  2. The Sopranos
  3. Babylon 5
  4. Law & Order
  5. Gunsmoke
    It also takes me way to long to come up with a list!!
