I dunno, I liked Underworld. I may be the only one.
Okay, I’ll admit it; I liked Blacula. It didn’t take itself seriously and William Marshall was great.
I also liked Captain Cronos, Vampire Hunter. This was an attempt by Hammer to start a new franchise around the character of an 18th century moster fighter. But the movie didn’t do well and no sequels were made.
True, but the OP asked about vampire movies. I am not saying it is not a good movie, just that it doesn’t fulfill the OPs requirements, that’s all,
Well, excuse me, I am about to go watch The Fearless Vampire Killers
Nosferatu is, of course, the best.
But after that, I gotta go with The Hunger. Any vampire flick that includes a scene with La Deneuve and Susan Sarandon making soft-core lesbo love is simply not to be missed.
That part was pretty good, but the best scene was the totally wicked rollerskating sequence!
I liked it because of Vonetta McGee’s legs in those teensy 1972 skirts.
