Kane Spring outside of Moab, after being lost for 36 hours.
The best tap water I’ve had would easily be in Yosemite National Park, where I lived & worked for a few years.
When I moved from there to Seattle I was expecting a big drop in water quality, but was pleasantly surprised that the water was pretty good (2nd best ever, easily).
The water I’ve drank certainly represents the bottom half. I specifically remember drinking from a water fountain inside the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, and I wondered if I was getting water poisoned with minerals.
There was a library in Houston TX that I went to a lot as a kid. The water fountain there was freakin’ amazing. So cold it almost hurt.
Try Seattle tap water in winter. It’s painful to hold one’s hands under the cold water.
