Thanks for asking. It was transcendent. Truly one of the finest things in all the universe. Of course, the effect was slightly spoiled by sampling some Hennessey XO a bit afterwards. I also tried a Glenlivet 18 yr. a bit beforehand (I was out with friends), which was certainly excellent, but I think that I simply prefer the more maritime and peaty taste of the Islays. Which is what I suspected, hence my choice.
