Thank you all for the nice words and those who have sent emails and cards. I haven’t gotten around to everything since it’s been very busy here, but I will before my trip to see her this afternoon. This will make her day. I also appreciate what you’ve said to me. Bless everyone.

Question- How do you go about finding specific people here? Do I put that in this thing? I know Kemi has 1 are 2 she knows well (but I don’t know if I have the names right, although it seems that one has now already written called hermit and I thank you too) and I’ll ask her later today so maybe I can let them know individually.

Hope you’re getting the help you need, faithfool, and that you’ll be returning to the boards once you’re again up for some reading and posting. I’ve enjoyed your contributions to the SDMB, and I’d like to think you’ll be able to find some happiness in 2006, if not sooner. And thanks to you, Jaceson, for taking the time to update us on Kemi’s situation. While I consider many Dopers my online buddies, you’re literally there for a friend who needs your support.
Here’s a brief update. I saw Kemi last night and she still seems to be adjusting to the hospital. Her spirits aren’t much better yet, with lots of crying and plenty of depression. However she really perkeed up over everyone’s good wishes. She said she didn’t know that even anyone hardly knew who she was here and all this made her happy. So she sends a “big thank you” and “misses the straight dope bunches.”
Also, her friend she wanted to give a special “hi” to is named zoe. She said this person “looks after her and is her angel here on the SDBM”. This is in addition to all the folks who have responded here and in emails. I haven’t caught up on all of those today, but I promise I will.
Thank you again for all of the support and niceness. If there is more here, I’ll be printing that out too and taking it on Thursday. Any updates I’ll put after that.
Darnit. I keep misspelling SDMB, as it should be. Sorry didn’t mean any offense. I also meant to thank Jenny for setting me up and helping me with all the emails. Skip too. You people are really nice.
faithfool --my best wishes that you keep progressing. I am sorry you’re having a hard time of it, and the holidays just make it worse. Best of luck to you-we miss you here!
A brief update is that Kemi is coming home today. She’s a little sad that she couldn’t make it in time to celebrate Christmas on the actual day, but we’ll try to make up for it with some cheesecake. She’s had her meds and dosages changed or increased and seems to be happier for the stay. The one on one psych stuff must of helped. Thank you all for everything and I’m sure she’ll be back to the straight dope to call to you as soon as she can. I think sleeping a lot is the first thing on her list though.

I am glad you’re doing better, lady. I do have a bone to pick with you, though. You see, I mentioned “Harry Potter and the Naked Quidditch Match” to a friend, which meant I had to send her the link, which means I got caught up in re-reading it!
