Gibbs is hot and Picard is not. I like him in this role even though he a hard ass to work for. He has a smile that makes me melt.
I beg your pardon? Picard isn’t hot?! Like hell he’s not. I hear Patrick Stewart say “Captain’s Log” and I’m all over that! Picard can fence, fight, dance, ride horses, recite Shakespeare, sing lusty songs (at least, his doppelganger could), play the flute, has a thirst for adventure, enjoys poker, and looks mighty nice in a tux or that white dress uniform from First Contact. What’s not to love?
Even if he weren’t hot, I’d go with Picard. Picard takes damn good care of his crew, all of whom I also like.
I’m with you here. Patrick Stewart is extremely hot, and Picard is multi-talented. Who could ask for more?
I only like Gibbs cause we share a last name. I have a coworker who calls me Gibbs all the time, and she’s a huge NCIS fan. That’s the only reason I know about him, having never seen a single episode.
Well there you go…
I’ll take Picard. It’s too unsettling to know that every time I start talking about Gibbs, he’ll show up behind me and want to know what I said.
Then don’t talk about him in the squad room. I can recall few instances in which Gibbs delivered a head-slap, literal or metaphorical, that weren’t caused by his team losing focus while they were in the middle of an investigation.
Gibbs can slap my head any day. I just like him. I could never work with him or Denozo because he is such a flirt and I would not be focused on catching the bad guys. I enjoy the show because they are like a big disfunctional family.
DiNozzo can flirt with me any day of the week. That, and the Gibbs eye twinkle won me over.
Really? I’m such a McGeek, I guess. That’s who I’d want writing my book of love.
What’s funny is that when they show the “flirting”, I remember they are supposed to be Federal employees, so theoretically they’re going through the same sexual harassment training I take every year, which would point out how many anti-harassment laws they are violating (several).
Ditto the head-slap and “violence in the workplace” training (which fortunately is optional where I work).
Gibb’s has clear cut rules that help you survive - no doubt about it - rule # 9 is my motto.
and it was Agent Langer.
“A slap on the face is an insult, to the back of the head a wake up”
I think they actually made fun of this at least once, with everyone having to attend a sexual harassment seminar and some comment being made about Gibbs being violent towards his underlings.
Yeah, I’m not so much a McGeek.
